About Beaux Arts

In the fall of 1959, a small group of women formed a volunteer organization dedicated to the Museum of Art. They decided to sponsor a Festival to raise money for the arts.  It was the first of its kind in Fort Lauderdale.  Fifty-four years later, our organization still thrives completely on the hard work of our members. Our membership is comprised of passionate and energetic women who devote their time and talent to support the arts in their community.

Since its inception in 1959, Beaux Arts has raised more than $5 million dollars for the Museum of Art. We also support the local art community. Beaux Arts is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization with a mission to encourage among children, young people and adults a more thorough understanding and appreciation of fine and applied arts.  We are proud to organize and present annual events that bring the community together to celebrate culture while benefiting the arts.
