Our Activities

Members used their artistic skills to paint Walasse Ting inspired ornaments for a Beaux Arts Christmas tree to be displayed at the Bonnet House Museum in early December 2023.

In September 2023, our Vice President, Julie Deitchman and husband, Dan, hosted the welcome back meeting for of the members and spouses of Beaux Arts Fort Lauderdale. Members caught up with old and met new members while learning about our plans for fundraising in the upcoming year.

The end of the year party was hosted in June 2022 by member, Maria Kurt, to send everyone off for the summer and to celebrate our 2022-23 fundraising success. New board members were announced.

We had a great turnout to our 2021 June end of the year celebration. It may have had something to do with the Prosecco cart and delicious hors d’oeuvres plus the karaoke. Thanks to the Taners for graciously hosting this entertaining event.

In May of 2022 we ushered in our new juniors with a lovely luncheon at President Mary’s beautiful home. The welcome games helped us to break the ice and get to know the new ladies that will be joining us for the 2022-23 year. From year to year we value the friendships that we make as well as appreciate the creative minds in this wonderfully versatile group of women.

In August we welcomed all members back with a night of rekindling friendship and the arts at the Cambria Hotel. Members will attend our first meeting of the year in September, and we will begin planning our fundraisers to support children and teens programs at NSU Art Museum.

Lunch (provided by Grande Luxe Cafe), a Colonnades Outlet at Sawgrass Mills fashion show, and shopping was organized by Privee’s Katie Wright for Beaux Arts and the Charity Guild members. Simon Malls provided $50 gift cards for everyone and several of the Colonnades stores provided gift cards that were raffled off to attendees. A percentage of the proceeds from items purchased went back to Beaux Arts and Charity Guild.

Our lucky Junior, Jennifer Reiss, wins one of the Colonnades gift cards that was raffled and most likely has already put it to good use. Thank you to The Colonnades for hosting the event and all of the shops who donated cards for the raffle.

This year our annual Christmas gift exchange and meeting was hosted by our very special past president, Lori Franke in her beautiful home. Members always enjoy the gift exchange and received some very creative items indeed!

For the Orange Theory Charity Burn 2021, members showed up to burn calories for the kids. It was quite a workout, but worth the effort. A percentage of the proceeds went to the kids programs at the museum.

Roxanne Zinn member for how many years? Roxanne brought the new purse that she won at our Fall Party Like a Rockstar event. It was a pleasure to see this very special auction item donated by the NSU Art Museum in use.

A meeting of the minds at Ann’s Florist & Coffee Bar on Las Olas. We discussed some of our upcoming events and introduced ourselves to the prospective members who attended. We are definitely excited about the Spring Luncheon and passed around the sign up sheet for volunteering and committees. All new ideas were welcome.
